Batavia Haven -

In addition to the Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet developed by STABLE, the City of Lelystad had big plans to make the area near Oostvaardersdiep/Markermeer very attractive by building a new harbour, and therefore a new development.

In a consortium with parties including Van Wijnen, Syntrys Achmea, and Bouwfonds (formerly RABObank Vastgoed), STABLE won the tender issued by the City of Lelystad.

At the harbour, Batavia Haven, a beautifully designed apartment complex was developed, comprising 450 homes, divided over city houses, working/living spaces, apartments and penthouses. The building has a closed courtyard with a parking garage below it, both of which are only accessible to residents of the building. On the ground floor, a commercial lower level was developed with space for hospitality establishments and harbour-related functions.

Though the development is largely a housing development, STABLE played an important leading role in the development combination concerning the design and concept of the development. STABLE was anxious for this development to contribute added value to this part of Lelystad. Though the crisis led to the development of the other buildings around Batavia Haven being held up, the concept of the apartment building that was built did offer Batavia Haven an enormous boost in quality. Now that the market is picking up again, this development guarantees that all new developments near Batavia Haven have to be of high quality to not be overshadowed by this impressive quality development.
